Aajeevika Bureau's vision is to become a leading agency working to ensure secure and dignified lives of communities dependent on migration and labour. The Bureau's mission is to provide lasting solutions to economic and socio-legal problems of migrant workers - directly as well as through partners - by creating replicable models offering services and security at both source and destination.

Aajeevika Bureau is fully functional in 5 blocks of Udaipur and Rajsamand districts. These are regions from where seasonal out-migration is high and there is a high dependence of rural households on incomes earned from migration. In each of the blocks the Bureau runs a “Shramik Sahayata Evam Sandarbh Kendra” (a labour walk-in and information centre - 3SK) - the main node for interface and provision of services to migrants(click on the map for information on 3SKs).

At the destination end the Bureau works in Ahmedabad and Idar in Gujarat which are respectively major destinations of urban and agricultural workers from Rajasthan. Within Rajasthan the Bureau runs a centre in the capital city of Jaipur which also serves as the main venue for policy advocacy and expansion of services to other parts of the state. The Bureau is headquartered in Udaipur where it also runs a centre dedicated to migrant workers coming to the city.
